School Council

Student Council

Our student council help us make decisions for Redlands using UNICEF articles and values, British Values, ECO School & organising charity days. They take ideas from children and staff, will help to organise a yearly trip to the House of Lords and to continue to forge strong links with our local MP, Rt. Hon. Nicky Morgan. Their focus is for making Sileby Redlands better than we were last year for us, our community and Trust.

Asha Ambassadors

As a Trust, we support Asha in New Delhi which is a charity. Mrs Ball and 27 other members of DSAT went over to New Delhi and worked with amazing children from two of the slums, teaching the children from age 4 through to University students. As a Trust, we will be supporting again with raising money and going out there to practically support through teaching and helping to provide a better setting also. Asha children have values in which they adhere to every day and as a school. Asha Ambassadors have taken a value each and as a team, they will be promoting these values working with individual year groups with weekly challenges. Asha Ambassadors are part of our Pastoral Team and will help children through discussing behaviour, anti-bullying, attendance, Asha charity days and promoting the SMSC values for our school (social, moral, cultural and spiritual). Their focus is that they are Humanitarians – Making sure our pupils are happy, supported, live life through our Redlands R’s/Asha Values, to give feedback from Asha and to help raise money for Asha charity. Please see the School Council and Asha Ambassador schedules to see what we will be working on weekly.
